Thirsty Thursday!

Cold snap! My new "spring" favorite!
Now, i know this isnt themed. But, I'm a beer girl through and through.

And not everyone loves mixed drinks, or liquor!
Sam Adams, in my opinion, in a good go to beer, for something more than, Coors, Miller, Bud, Busch, Natty whatever you get the point.
You can get their classic lager, or try any seasonal, they usually do a good job.

This citrus-esk wheat beer, is delicious. And is full of flavor, but isn't heavy in my opinion.

It is not fruity, light (blonde) or a lager. Hard to describe.

I will say this isnt a beer i can drink all night, its a few and then time to change it up. I also think its stronger than some of their others!

Feel like I should mention im a lager girl and a light beer sorta person. I do love specific winters and stouts. But for the most part i am not ok with fruity and lemon or shandys. Not for me, but i can respect it.

Sad Thrusday

It's my favorite blog day and I'm empty handed so I'm not linking up.

Pumpkin Beertail

Ingredients (makes 4 glasses)
- 3 bottles of Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin Ale
- 1/2 bottle Martinelli’s Sparkling Cider
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 4 lemon wedges
- a sprinkle of cinnamon

Add sticks, and fill part way with beer and top with sparkling cider, granish with lemon but i think it would be good with oranges since its Blue Moon. Also would be good with Sam Adams.

Going forward i am trying to cut out my drinking for a while.

So far i havent been successful.

What really makes me sad is not doing this link up, though i will continue to read all the cool awesomeness.

But really i need a break from my dranks and to get back into healthy habits with food.

when i drink i tend to eat bad.

Well just a quick one today. craziness at work. anyone wanna hire me? I'll take it.

I'm in full swing on painting in the house, on top of all the doctor mobojumbo this week.

I totally dropped the ball.

LUCKY for me, my Ram (mom) brought me some wine from South Dakota!

I'm not a huge wine drinker, but i love the name

red ass rhubarb.

hell ya, ill take some of that :)

its very yummy.

drink in classy mason jar goblets esp if your hubs made them for you, whoop!

I guess in the SD they mix this with margarita mix,

i tried that....bleghha!

i'm not huge on fruity-lime-margies-anything.

you know me. beer.

BUT if you like that lime flavor, try it, because it has a strong taste with the sweet/sour rhubarb and lime!

Today just a quick beer review.

Last week making my own drink at home with only my resources took it out of me!

:)

Plus, i am a beer wench through and through.

Bells is probably one of my most favorite 'snob' beers.

Occasionally the local places will have Two Hearted on tap.

I love this drink.

But the snob i will say, i perfer a draft not a bottle.

Its one of the few beers that is sooooo much more bitter after its been botteled.

Bells has some good beers, this just happens to be one i like.

Try them out next time you are feeling fancy, try anything seasonal its all pretty good.

I cant wait to hear allllll about Kristin's curise! Whos Jelly!? I am! :)

I am sorta nerdy, cheesy, sarcastic, and maybe even a little bit of an alcoholic! In the last few months we bought our first home, and its been an adventure. The birds tell me this has been the dirtiest best post so far.

Thirsty Thursday

Ittttttsssssssss my favorite blogging day of the week!!

Linking up my drank with Kristin,
But I gotta be real honest here, mostly I drink beer.
Ok I only drink beer, so that makes this prudy tough for me some weeks.

Either way i am doing an adult smoothie today.

Here is what i put in mine.

plain greek yogurt 1/2-1c.
frozen strawberries 1c.
frozen blueberries (optional) 1/2 c.
water (my blender requires lots of water to actually blend shit, its old) 2 c.
FRESH spinach leaves 2 handfuls
Vodka of your choice 4 shots
Blend well, drink with straw! :)

This is also just a great smoothie without the booze. I dont use oats or flax or any of that other health stuff in my smoothie. Sometimes i use mangos, or peaches also frozen, this makes for a nice refreshing treat on a hot summer day!

I'm so corny I can barely stand it.

Well, it's my favorite time of the week!

I only have to work 3 days this week and I'm beat!
Travel takes it outta ya!
Also i did NOT make it to the gym today. This week is kicking my butt.
And tomorrow is weigh in...womp womp.

Now just to be clear I did NOT have one of these this morning.

But it is a favorite camping and vacation past time drink.

Here's the deal, officially there is a recipe

When I say 'Irish coffee'

I mean making your coffee and adult beverage.

Thus, making your options endless.

Best advice I can give, whipped cream. Not just for coffee

I make my normal coffee, cream only.

Then I add baileys or Kahlua French vanilla. 

Drank up!

If its a holiday season sometimes I jazz it up with cinnamon or peppermint.

Been debating writing a little more about my health journey. Not gonna lie, I'm scared shitless.

Mostly of failing.

But I joined Jess's fit camp and so far it's going well.

Also if you are new around here I have a muscle injury from March that I'm still in Physical Therapy for, and honestly I haven't handled that very well.

I leave for NYC (actually NJ) tomorrow at 4 am.

I have had a drink (just one or two) every night since last friday.

I think its PERFECTLY normal to drink when its so damn hot and humid out. illinoissucks

Since, I usually do most of the driving when we travel, I get bored.

I need to be in bed at like 8-8:30 tonight

Water. H20. Hydration in the best form.

So drink up lots of water.

Ice in a glass

Mix OJ and Tequila, fill glass

Grenadine, pour SLOWLY over, let settle in bottom, PATIENCE IS KEY

Garnish with Orange slice or Maraschino Cherry

I am at the store trying to be the best good daughter in law.

also i only ever drink beer, so this proved to be a really hard task for me

I called T-Dubs twice "where do they keep liquor, do you know how many kinds of Tequila there are?"

We had a HUGE package at our door yesterday and i thought for sure it was a mistake.

Our besties from NJ (see prom) sent us a house gift

We broke our coffee maker on moving day, and are coffee snobs.

Also i couldn't find the part anywhere on the WEB! WTF Internet you fail me!

We had no idea how hard it was to meet friends as a married couple, they were really the first ones we made as a married couple then we moved!

Its not!

I also like to squeeze half of my orange into the top of my drank then use the other have for decor :) I do no put ratios on this. I don't like the taste of vodka so I try to mask it with OJ, but there are days that i don't care and i want ONE drink to be strong! :) so make as needed.

How do you like my new looks? We are playing around with things. TDubs volunteered to spruce up the blog! its a work in progress and under construction! :) Tomorrow i will do two weekend recaps. Then I will pack up my gear and go dranking campaing all weekend. I should try to remember to take more pictures...

Miller High Life!!

Its Miller time!

Also, I cut my husbands hair. That's very stressful for me. He says he likes it but I know, he likes it longer usually. Oh well it's done! I had to you tube how to blend or fade it! Wish he could color mine it would save us about $100 a month!

My big news is I ran 1 mile yesterday on the dreadmill and my leg doesn't hurt. I have a dr. appt where I plan on discussing my muscle injury. Its a little sore today. But NOTHING like the pain I dealt with for 2 months. Say a little prayer for me, because I think my recent few pounds of weight gain and lack of gym time is totally a result of this stupid leg thing.

But, I do argue that its the best cheaper beer on the face of this planet.

and its nostalgic for us, as we cannot buy it where we live now.

Awwwwe boo Illinois, and every other state not on the East Coast.

So, we make like Smokey and the Bandit whenever we visit home (PA & NY).
