Part 5.

Describe your relationship with your parents.

What is the therapy? I got mommy and daddy issues. I dont respect my mom enough, and i agree with my dad too much. My dad is a little bit scary, former Lt. Cl. in the Air Force. But i call him when i dont know something becuase he is very knowledgeable. My mom and i never agree and fight all the time. Shes a control freak see where i get it from. I do love them. But my relationship with my dad is much better, even though i have boat loads of daddy issues.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? 15 Years?

meh. I'll be 32, 37, and 42. Honestly i dont want to live to be old... im weird.

Whats your favorite holiday and why?

Christmas. Seriously I love finding the PERFECT gift for someone. I love that feeling of excitment on the Eve staying up late with my sister. Then waking up WAAAAAY too early and opening presents. Its my favorite!!! :)

Whats your favorite and least favorite thing about parenthood?

No kids. But I can answer this one from an outsiders prospective.

Favorite: kids who are in too cool things, reading books, playing with legos, camping. And kids that actually have manners.

Least Favorite: parents who dont have control over their kids, i mean like cant displine, kids make all the decisions etc. Seriously, the biggest problem with this is, I end up feeling guilty when i dont want to spend time with someone anymore because their kids are dicks.

If you could have dinner with anyone in history, who would it be and what would you eat?

He makes money now. j/k! only a little, grad school was hard man, twss supporting both of us!

Ok really though, T-Dubs is the Dreamer :) and his sense of humor. Laughter is good for the soul. And he really does dream for the both of us.

Shit. No not, shit. I mean....blerg...

Loving star wars, trusting God, generosity, being blunt, being understanding, having a good relationship with T-Dubs and also with my schsiter. And thats all i can think of.

Here is what i am actually remember for: As a kid i was the NARK!, being a sloppy drunk, being a loud drunk, camping all the time, loving running, loving beer, loving food. wishing i was more of a nerd than i actually was.

What are your 5 greatest accomplishments?

Graduating college (dropped out once). Fully employed. Incredible relationship with my brother and sister (i never realized that most or lots of people dont have this). ummmm... i got 3 :)

What is the thing you most wish you were great at?

Patience. I get angry sooooo easily and that leads to things i should never say/think/feel. Patience and forgiveness. I am a very loyal person, so if you cross me i tend to not necessarily hold a grudge but im guarded, very much so.

1. moving all the time
2. the time i totally misbehaved as a child and actually had child services called on my mom... i still feel guilty about that. (i was 7).

• rolling stops
• taking my right of way at a four way stop
• doing 5 miles over the speed limit and in the left lane
• passing at 2 miles and hour faster than the person they are passing
• old people driving
• when someone flips me off from their car
• having had two cars with gas tanks on opposite sides
• those people who whip out from behind all the people pulled over to let a fire truck/ambulance/funeral go by.

.... i might have road rage, i blame living in NJ.

• And my BIGGEST PET PEEVE - that person who doesn't stop talking, after you walk away, and down the hall....and out of the fucking building. stop talking. just stop.

12. Describe a typical day in your current life.
Gym. poach egg turkey bacon. shower. 7:10 work. blog before anyone shows up. stalk on instagram. read up on illini basketball. finally do actual work. tickticktickspactickticktictyperiodworkyworkityworking! lunch. call co-worker. talk about how stupid the new software is. 430 punch that shit out. home/pick T-Dubs up dinner, home shit.

13. Whats the hardest part of growing up?
Not realizing your no longer young/invincible/have your whole life to figure it out

14. describe 5 weaknesses and strengths you have.
Weaknesses

• I cant eat any amount of anything - yes this is a problem
• I obsess about things
• worrier -mostly about things i cant even control
• stubborn as alllll heeeewwwwlll!
• i don't think before i speak

Strengths

• generally happy/motivated
• Active for the most part
• Loyalty above all else
• I am a do-er. I serve others, i don't know how to describe this...Acts of Service are how i show people that i care about them or they are important to me.
• i take instructions really well, im a good worker.

15. describe when you knew your spouse was the one or how i fell in love.
I was 17, he drove a red sports car!! I jest, but that is actually how/why we dated :) I KNEW he was who i wanted to marry (sorry im not a romantic, i think we can make relationships work with anyone), when we broke up in college. it took me about 8 months of drinkin and when i sobered up, i realized how much i loved him. im stubborn see above, but i FINALLY realized he was worth it and i would rather spend my life with him than anyone else.

6. If you could have three wishes, what would you wish for?

1. that everyone loved and always wore a 3 Wolf Moon Tee
2. for world peace
3. to be skinny but to eat whatever i want isnt that every ones wish?

7. What is your dream job and why?

This is hard. Building homes and remodeling. I have always loved they kind of work (except roofing). So Kitchens and Baths i think. it was my first summer job and i love it, but i also got injured. So there is that. But i think it would make me happy. OOOOOOOOORRR staying at home. I love being on top of everything at home. plus with having just bought a house there is a shit ton to do that i do not have the man hours for!

8. What are 5 passions you have?

1. Ethiopia missions. I went there last year for 2 weeks, by far the best and worst trip of my life. it changed me in a lot of ways. must be time to do a post about this...
2. Harry Potter. Hunger Games. Star Wars. Marvel. Hell raiser. Han Solo/Harrison Ford. Joss Whedon. Nathan Fillion. Jensen Ackels. Movies and TV -  i love just chilling watching both.
3. Outdoors, hiking, skiing, camping, caneoing, running :(
4. i am passionate about being ORGANIZED! THERE IS A PERFECT SYSTEM FOR EVERYTHING! I WILL FIND IT!
5. Food and Dranks. I am a food lover. I miss going to breweries regularly.

1. DAMN KIMMMMMY why these gotta be so hard!! twss
2. My big brother - does this even need explanation?
3. My little sister - my person but has also survived a whole lot, and opinion is one i seek out often.
4. my high school English teacher Klem. toughest educator i have ever had in my whole life but also was good at his job. taught me some hard respect lessons in high school.
5. My dad - he is very successful, and he has a very STRONG influence over me. im sure that is fun for T-Dubs in our marriage.
6. Jim - my dads best friend. He is just fun out doorsie and always made us kids feel included growing up. I respect him a great deal too as he has had to deal with certain financial and business woes, but always sticks with it. Plus just an incredibly generous caring man to begin with. So positive and happy.
7. The pastor that officiated our wedding, he just always was transparent, which i think is harder to find in churches that people let on or discuss openly. sorryimnotsorry

9. Nick and Jenna our soul mates :)
10. T-Dubs - he pursued his dream of becoming a photographer in hard economic times leaving behind a very sure and secure job that paid EXTREMELY WELL! He survived grad school, even though we both wanted him to quit at one point or another. He is a dreamer, its why i married him. I am practical, too practical. He dreams for US! :)

10. Describe your most embarrassing moment.

do i not get embarrassed? No its just usually for drinking too much and being loud. Its never something awesomely funny. like, i got embarrassed at the grocery store on lunch one day when a guy told me i was beautiful. HEY, I met T-Dubs when i was 17! I never really got alot of attention (graduated with 37 students!). So that kind of thing makes me TOTALLY embarrassed. oh oh he is looking at me? oh hehehehe! Nice, robin, super fucking smooth of you. Here is the thing though, i can be the best wing man for my single girl friends. The diamond on my finger gave me ALLLLLL KINDS of power. Because, i dont care if the guy blows me off, i am spoken for. Hi, I'm Robin! Want to meet my friend Lindsey right there (shes adorable they usually say yes!).

I am going to try not to repeat from my random things you never wanted to know about me post.

 

20 random facts

1. As you may of seen earlier this week, i love moving. its only one thing i am actually 110% good at.

2. I love cheesy/cool sci fi tv, Buffy, Galactica, Supernatural, Dollhouse, Firefly.

3. we dont have cable (like our tv isnt plugged into it in the wall) but if we did, i would watch ESPN and the Scifi channels.

4. last winter/spring i went to the gym during specific basketball games so i could watch them on the gym tvs

5. i am a pretty big University of Illinois basketball fan

6. i dont know a lick about football

7. i have read alllll of Chelsea Handlers books

9. the computer access was so slow Wed and Thrus this week i considered quitting at work

12. i started this blog to write about my running since i was working from 2 miles to 6. then i hurt my leg.

20. i have minor dyslexia, and sometimes i dont even realize when i'm talking that i have switched words around or the begging letters of words.

 

Describe 3 Legitimate Fears and explain

1. drowning - i am not a strong swimmer and afraid of things monsters in the water will get me (these are in lake michigan....)

2. suffocating - i have asthma, so that tight feeling, sudden you cant get oxygen....

3. creepy crawling things, bugs, centipedes, moths - i dont do insects i can feel them crawl on me, and they are gross. i can barely kill them. and why is it every TIME a moth is near me it tries to fly INTO MY MOUTH!

 

Relationship with spouse: Good. I mean i love him, i think he loves me. I currently hate him because he is thinning out and i am just eating all the things. we fight but its weird because he doesnt really fight...like yell or get anger. he does totally make me a better person and if it came down to him or me, my ENTIRE family and extended family would pick him. every. time.

 

When my sister lived with us, they would take turns farting while we watched a movie. drove me crazy. Then we'd all be laughing our heads off. Oh and the other night when we got drunk, we FaceTimed my sister and set it up on the floor and danced around it. Yeah, she was on a date, she should not have answered. But we all 3 were still laughing.

 

List 10 things you would tell your 16 year old self:

1. You suck and so does this town. you will graduate with 37 other students. you are gonna put that town in your rear view and thats fine. Its not worth 10 things :) Everything changes when you go to college anyways.
