Well my sister might have been equally as excited as my hair dresser. Seriously, they had way too much fun.
My sister also texted me at 7:30 am on Saturday (not cool. ever.)
She also wanted to know what it looked like curly, thats why she got this.
i am a super light sleeper so my ass was up then.

i laughed a lot. when i got her photo back.

Shamless selfie in the car yesterday.

Its long and goregoues, and a serious pain in the butt to maintain.

Cons:

• takes forever to do
• never dries fully
• no longer stays up in ponytail/bun/anything at the gym
• my gray/white is coming in so vicously i have to get it done every 4 weeks ($100)
• im poor enough

Pros:

• damn, its pretty looking.
• its really pretty.
• i love tri color, and i hate box coloring ($4)
• but it will make me $96 richer every month
• its so pretty.
• T-Dubs tells me how pretty it is.

please dont take this as im being big headed, i dont think i have any pretty features. At all. That being said, im really only happy with the hair for about two weeks becuase then the gray/white comes in with force. Hence the car photo so you cant see it on my part.

Vacation recap?

Alright. Here is a brief run down.

Snap shot i took into the sun that was BRUTAL on my drive back on Sunday.

Friday Night: arrived at 2am. My Papa passed away at 5 am. See more of that in this post.

Saturday- Monday was lots of family in and out, trying to make plans and service arrangements. Unfortunately, its not for another two weeks, so we will be driving the 1,400 miles home again in two weeks.

Dad had lots for T-Dubs and i to do. He is slowing down these days and isnt recovering quickly from his hernia operation. We moved tons of stuff to the third floor.

Dad did make some time to go shoot some guns.

If you dont have anything nice to say, dont say anything.

I am into guns.

If you dont like it, dont read my blog. end rant.

Finally, we escaped (mother and i dont always get along, ever). Friday (week later) was lunch wedding rehearsal followed with day drinking, beer runs, night drinking.

Blogger fail; no pictures.

Saturday: HUNG OVER! I am no longer young, my body CANNOT handle crappy bar food, or boozing all day.

Wedding prep and Wedding time. Cried my eyes out, they wrote their own vows, the officiant did a great job, it was just so beautiful.

It was slightly chilly for an outdoor wedding.

But still amazing and beautiful.

AWWWWEEEEE!

Ok, so open bar but i was still gurgle-ly. Gross.

Venue shut down at 10, shuttle provided back to the hotel, where the partiers just kept partying.

Thankfully we got a ride with some sober friends.

I laid down in my PJs for about 45 mins.

T-Dubs really just wanted to hang with the Groom, you know, weddings, everyone is everywhere all the time.

So i put on real clothes, hoddie and jeans, and my favorite sneakers.

This totally refreshed me! Gosh i was ready to drink then!

It was nice actually to just sit and chill with a few people as the bar cleared out.

Then the Best Man was nice enough to share the cigars with those of us left. Hmmmm it was really good cigars.

I like factory wrapped cigars. Sorryimnotsorry. I hate getting chunks in my mouth.

All around wonderful, the Groom made a little speech thanking everyone and i love them and miss them already! HAPPY WEDDINGMARRIAGE TO THE DOMINOS!!

Drove 13.5 hours home from NJ on Sunday. Crossed 3 entire states widths wise.

Sunshine thingy!

So Kristin nominated me for the Sunshine Award.
I saw this hit all the famous bloggers i follow and i have yet to see an answer to why the picture or award is not the sun... im cornfused. Midwest joke...anyone...guess not.

Here is what i like about these, i usually find cool new blogs to follow because i like checking out the nominees and i love getting interesting questions. However, I don't play by the rules :) hee hee so im just gonna answer the questions.

Plus, how cool is it that a blogger i totally dig nominated me! :) so cool! WAAA!

1. Favorite Drink: beer. always a refreshing beer.

2. Perfect week night evening? I come home and finish up anything that is 'hanging' over my head; laundry, cleaning, etc. while T-Dubs does dinner. Then we have a meal at the table (not in front of the TV, which is what we do every night!). Then i whomp his ass in cards. We end the night with a walk outside in the COOL FALL WEATHER ....that i am sadly still waiting on. then is Business Time.

3. Favorite place to take a weekend vacation. Anywhere, we love to travel! St. Louis. Camping locally. Ohio to see family. Stay over at a friends and drink locally! Hey if you arent in your own bed its a vacation right?

4. TV Shows you're currently watching? Castel! LOVE HIM! Bones, HIMYM, Big Bang, New Girl, CHICAGO FIRE!! Supernatural. Greys, dont judge me, i just want them to end this show already, but i must keep watching. gah.

5. Favorite Football team (NFL)? Kristin...dont hate me.... i cant tell you who even played in the superbowl last year.

6. Got any good recipes?? YES! That the spouse makes!

7. Favorite Comedian? Why? Older Dane Cook stuff, because he was funny, he was really good live here a couple years ago. Seth Meyers, no explaination needed. Jimmy Fallon. John Stewart.

Something no one has accomplished yet!

We have such a great relationship, and I am so equally blessed that she and my husband have a great relationship.

Birthday Tings

Wednesday was my 28th Birthday!

T-Dubs and I will be the same age until December.

He delivered the best birthday by far!

He took the entire day off, got the ENTIRE house cleaned.

And cooked me my favorite meal from Red Lobster, sauteed garlic shrimp Alfredo and biscuits!

1) You know your old when the high light of your birthday is someone else cleaned your house

2) Home cooked meal. - i hate cooking/baking with a passion. it is not for me. #wifefail

Its pure heavy whipping cream so super rich.

And a pumpkin pie. I have always had pumpkin pie on my birthday even as a kid.

I LOVED ALL THINGS PUMPKIN BEFORE IT WAS A THING!

My sister bought me a super cool wine bottle candle Abra thingy.

Which will make a great center piece during the fall/winter.

Anddddd....star trek. thankyouthankyouchirspinethankyou.

T-Dubs knocked this year out of the park with 3 gifts (in addition to the clean house).

If you read Marcy's blog she did this last week. And as we share a birthday I asked if I could steal this idea.

My family is pretty awesome. Not gonna lie. As a kid i had a cousin who always belittled me when we were together, even all through high school. I know it was her projecting her insecurities on me, but it made me feel pretty terrible all the time.

6. Best Christmas Present you ever received?
Miliemun Falcon. Double Duh.

7. Worst Christmas present you ever received?
One year my folks went off on this whole "we need to be frugal thing" then they have me a digital camera i didn't even ask for. It was like like terrible, it was the principal that was so effing confusing.

1. If you could open your own buisness what kind of good or service would you provide?
Home remodeling/building. I loved building my parents house with my dad. It was my first real summer job during college, i worked for a company. I am thankful i didn't end up a small business owner after 2008. But i love to build stuff.
Last Christmas - the house i helped my dad build (its a little big. 20/20 hindsight).

2. What is your best advice you have recieved about blogging?
Honestly i havent really 'gone public' with my blog IRL. I love the advice Emily got about writing about what YOU want to write about. I am not here to be famous, or get followers. I wanted to write about running. I want to write about making our new-to-us home our own. I want to write about my struggles with health and fitness. So thats what i write! :) and occasionally Star Wars.

3. What is something you thought you would never do or accomplish but have?
Settling down in the Midwest. I am from the North East. I have lived all over; AL, VA, PA, NY, NJ, DC, Turkey and Germany. But i love the North East, upstate NY. I never in a million YEARS thought we'd buy a house and stay in Illinois. But here we are! Not a fan of the view, but other than that we are happy!!

4. Who is the most influential person in your life?
House stuff - my Dad. He is very knowledgeable, and he influences the decisions we make on how to do things.
In general - T-Dubs. We make decisions together anyways, but his opinion matters the most to me. #throwback

5. If i had to be stuck in one season for the rest of my life what would it be?
WINTER! in the mountains! Skiing forever!!!

6. Tell us something we dont know about you.
I waited until i was married.
Yes, you read that correctly.
